Perform the various duties required to complete complicated machine tool set-ups in a high production machining environment. These duties may include but not be limited to the following:
Interpret shop drawings and sketches provided by our Engineering Department.
Analyze Customer Requirements and incorporate processes to exceed these requirements.
Properly set, calibrate, and use sophisticated gauging devices to accurately measure machined components. This includes but is not limited to thread plug and ring gages, micrometers, calipers, height stands, etc.
Ability to analyze and determine the proper tooling applications for set-up and machining operations on precision valve components as required. This would include the proper grades, relief angles, coatings, etc.
Metal cutting knowledge of proper speeds and feeds for various type materials including but not limited to Brass, Bronze, Aluminum, Steels, and Stainless.
The ability to determine proper chucking methods and write CNC programs from scratch. This includes knowledge of both G codes and M codes.
Must be able to analyze a machining situation, troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions.
Ability to determine proper angles and use basic shop math to write CNC programs.
Work with Engineering to develop machining processes as required by the customer.
Develop set-up sheets and determine the proper method for gauging components to customer requirements.
Assist the Quality Assurance function in the disposition of non-conforming material and participate in continuous improvement activities.
Organize and implement Lean techniques into workplace design.
Minimum 2 – 3 years of Machining Experience
