Analyze data and make decisions on product quality working closely with production to resolve issues if product is outside of specification.
Pull random samples for routine testing, maintains test results and calculates batch adjustments.
Check packaging for correct bottle labeling.
Responsible for the execution of procedures, process documentation and continuous improvement programs.
Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
Ability to interpret specifications and apply to test results.
Approve and/or reject incoming raw materials in process or finished product.
Working knowledge of non-conformance, deviation and CAPA programs.
Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
Understand and comply with Quality/Food Safety and safety requirements in place.
Check HACCP critical control points and ensure proper corrective actions are taken to maintain food safety at all times.
Experience working in a SQF certified environment a plus.
2+ years of proven quality control/assurance experience in a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment.
Understand GMP practices and/or work in a GMP regulated facility.
Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment such as pH meters, burettes and beakers, auto titrator, refractometer.
Familiarity with microbiological practices in a food processing environment a plus.
Ability to meet production, quality and safety standards.
Proven experience as a quality inspector.
Excellent analytical, organizational and technical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including ERP system and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate the ability to prioritize while maintaining high levels of organization, productivity and versatility.
