Katelyn Douglas has a seven-week-old puppy who’s keeping her up at night, but that hasn’t dampened her enthusiasm about her new role as Director of First Impressions at Friday Staffing.
“I love it here,” says Katelyn, who started in May. “Friday’s really cares about their clients and the team here looks out for each other. It’s a very friendly, positive environment.”
As Director of First Impressions, Katelyn is one of the first faces you’ll see when you come into the agency. She’s part of the team that greets applicants and ensures that they begin their experience with Friday’s on a positive note.
“Katelyn was presented by one of our team members as a possible candidate for our Director of First Impressions position,” says Deborah Pressley, VP and COO of Friday’s. “She felt that Katelyn presented very well and would make a great asset to our team. When I visited with Katelyn I concurred very quickly that she was exactly what we look for to provide our clients with our concierge level of service. I am thrilled to have her on our team.”
It’s no wonder that Katelyn is so good at what she does. She says that the person she most admires is her mother, who raised seven children, the youngest who is now five and the oldest who is 31! She credits her mother for instilling a good work ethic in her and her siblings.
We think that Katelyn’s friendly personality, attention to detail and strong work ethic are perfect for her job at Friday’s, but she says she does have a flaw. “I wish I were more patient with myself,” she admits. “I tend to be a perfectionist; I want everything to be just so, and I’ll keep at something until it’s done right, even if it’s something others won’t see or maybe even care about.”
We happen to think Katelyn is perfect just as she is, and we’re thrilled she’s a part of the Friday Staffing family. Be sure to look for her smiling face on your next visit to Friday’s!
